Inter are set to rival cross-city rivals Milan within the transfer market as the Nerazzurri plan on re-initiating negotiation talks with French striker Marcus Thuram.
FCInter1908 reports that the Nerazzurri have been in contact with the 25 year-old’s entourage over the past couple of days as it seems that veteran striker Edin Dzeko is set to depart the San Siro after a two-year stay for Turkish outfits Fenerbahce on a free transfer.
With Thuram’s contract set to expire within the next couple of days and the player not willing to renew as he is determined to feature in Champions League, Inzaghi’s side would attain the clinical goal-scorer without having to pay any transfer fees.
Inter have held discussions with Thuram since January regarding the possibility of arriving at the San Siro but have now accelerated the talks with great urgency in order to fill the void within the attack.
With the French international having notched 13 goals and six assists in 30 games-played within the Bundesliga this season, Thuram has a great deal of suitors as the Rossonerri have held heavy talks with him in recent period, as well as PSG who have been monitoring the situation very closely.
