Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi says Romelu Lukaku could feature in the Champions League against Viktoria Plzen.
Victory tomorrow night will see Inter qualify for the round of 16.
Inzaghi said, “We know we have played four games in the best way, but tomorrow is a final. We are in the conditions of last year, with a more difficult group and the possibility of hitting the first goal of the season with a day to spare, knowing that in Munich it would be very hard.”
On a fit-again Lukaku, Inzaghi said: “If he confirms yesterday’s training and the three previous ones, he will be called up. He is working with a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of desire, today’s training is still missing but he is in clear recovery.
“He is a very important player for us, he missed two months and it was a serious loss. But the other forwards have always done well, knowing that in football you can always improve. We have always scored except for Bayern.”
Inzaghi was also asked about Milan Skriniar’s new contract talks.
He replied: “I am fortunate to have very good managers at doing this, they are thinking about it. The thought does not go only to Skriniar, we have other players in the same situation as Milan. I hope that everything will be resolved quickly, without prejudice that Milan is clearly growing.
“We have to continue, then we hope that as far as the contract is concerned, not only him but I also think of other players, as a coach I already know that my managers are good and are working to resolve.”
