Speaking to Brazilian publication La Gazeta Esportiva, PSG and Chelsea target Gabriel Moscardo (18) has spoken about his future at Corinthians. The Corinthians midfielder has been linked heavily with a move to both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the upcoming January transfer window. According to Foot Mercato, the Brazilian midfielder is valued by Corinthians at €40m.
PSG have already had one attempt rebuffed by the Brazilian Serie A club worth a reported €22m. Les Parisiens’ rejected bid raised questions about the 18-year-old’s long-term future in Brazil but his latest comments have made the situation a lot clearer.
Set to remain in Brazil
Quizzed by the Brazilian publication about his immediate future, Moscardo said “There is a lot of talk about my future, but I am very grateful to wear this jersey. I am very happy. It’s a huge club, and I’ve been here since I was a kid. I leave these rumours to my agent, I live my reality. My reality is that I will return to Corinthians in January. I am very excited. I am young, I like to experience new things, I want to learn.”
Foot Mercato report that there have been discussions between PSG and Corinthians to agree a transfer in January which would see the young midfielder loaned back to the Brazilian club until June or December 2024. It remains unclear whether any deal will be reached. However, Moscardo has his eyes firmly set on staying in Brazil for the immediate future.
