Didi Hamann thinks Sadio Mane and Bayern Munich are both enjoying the early days of their relationship.
Mane ended a six-year stay at Liverpool this summer, having endeared himself to the Liverpool faithful with triumphs in the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.
The Senegalese forward felt it was time for a change and elected to join Bayern after the German giants agreed to pay £35m for his signature.
Life in Germany couldn’t have started better for the 30-year-old with five goals from six matches so far this season.
Hamann was a legendary player for Liverpool and Bayern, and the former Germany international says Mane is already at home at the Allianz Arena.
“He’s started the season really well, obviously they won the first two games comfortably and with quite a few goals in hand,” Hamann told TribalFootball.com, on behalf of FreeSuperTips.
“I think he’s settling in really well; he’s celebrated the wins with the fans in their end.
“He seems to be enjoying it so far, he is the type of player who always looks like he’s enjoying his football and I think that’s when you get the best out of him.
“You just let him play and get on with it, which is what he’s doing at the moment.
“He’s scored a few goals already and he’s been involved in others, so I think the Bayern Munich faithful are quite happy with him already.
“I think it’s a great bit of business to see him playing in the Bundesliga and it’s obviously a great transfer for Bayern Munich.”
Bayern have enjoyed a fine start to the 2022/23 campaign, having won three and drawn one.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side have also scored 16 goals across those four games.
