Olivier Giroud says AC Milan are primed to win silverware this season.
Milan currently sit top of the Serie A table.
Giroud told GQ: “We haven’t won anything yet, we have to keep fighting all the way. Milan has always been one of the most important clubs in the world : when you wear this shirt you always have to aim high, you can’t be satisfied.
“I always thought we were a great team, a nice mix of young and experienced players, led by a great coach like Stefano Pioli who encourages us to give the maximum every day. We are aware of our qualities and we will do everything to give satisfaction to our splendid fans.
“Both my grandmothers were Italian and I am proud of my origins. Playing in Italy in Milan and living here with my family makes me very happy. I love this country, its traditions and obviously the Italian cuisine, which is almost as good as French.
“I try to enjoy football as long as my body will allow it. It’s true, I won a lot and I realised the dream I had as a child by winning the World Cup with France, but I am very ambitious and in every single team I played I wanted to leave my mark. I’m here at Milan to leave my mark and try to win trophies in a huge club like the Rossoneri.”
