Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus is still keen on a move to Arsenal despite the club’s prospect of missing Champions League football.
The Brazilian has not been a regular starter at the club and only got proper opportunities towards the tail end of the season and with the acquisition of Dortmund striker Haaland, his chances have further diminished.
The 25-year-old, who only has one year left on his current deal, has already initiated positive talks for a £40m-£50m move to the Emirates but according to the Sun, his entourage might change their stance if the North London club fails to make it to the Champions League which they consider a priority.
Arsenal are preparing the opening bid for Gabriel Jesus. Manchester City want around €50-60m to sell Gabriel this summer, even if his current deal won’t be extended. ⚪️🔴 #AFC

The player’s agents have already admitted to being fans of the project Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has built, as well as suggesting the Premier League is the “NBA of football” as they seek to find another Premier League team for their client.
A 3-0 defeat away at Spurs on Thursday before a calamitous 2-0 loss at Newcastle sees Arsenal needing a miracle to NOT be playing Europa League football and they will hope to attract top players should they fail to make the cut.
