There were a series of friendly matches played on Saturday night which saw victories for Germany, Netherlands, Spain, and England.
Harry Kane and Luke Shaw scored a goal in either half as England beat visiting Switzerland 2-1.
The Swiss had taken the lead against the run of play when Xherdan Shaqiri’s cross was headed home by Breel Embolo, that advantage was nearly doubled moments later when Fabian Frei’s effort was turned on to the crossbar by Jordan Pickford.

Palace’s Conor Gallagher set up Luke Shaw to lash home from outside the box for an equalizer at the stroke of halftime and Kane scored what proved to be the winner from the penalty spot to join Bobby Charlton with 49 on the all-time goalscorers list.
Tyrick Mitchell came off the bench to join Walker-Peters and Marc Guéhi in earning their first cap for the Three Lions.
In another game, Ireland came from behind twice to salvage a draw against Roberto Martínez’s Belgium.
Michy Batshuayi opened the scoring after 12 minutes but Chiedozie Ogbene equalized for the hosts with a delightful overhead kick. While Hans Vanaken headed home from a corner to restore Belgium’s lead, Ogbene was to turn provider for Alan Browne for the equalizer as Stephen Kenny’s side extended their unbeaten run to six games.
Chelsea duo of Kai Haverts and Timo Werner scored the goals as Germany ran 2-0 winners over Israel as Spain fought hard to beat Albania 2-1.
