It’s a Super Sunday set of fixtures and we have prepared a short slip for you!
Kortrijk vs Club Brugge
Both teams often score when Brugge play away from home. It’s a feat that has occurred in 11 of their last 12 competitive away matches. Club Brugge’s 12 away league games this season have seen a total of 39 goals scored, an average of 3.25 goals per game.
Both teams have scored in five of the last six meetings between these teams on this ground. Sunday’s hosts last three matches have all seen both teams score, and we are expecting goals in this one and we’ll be using this premise to form our main selection.
TIP: Both Teams To Score at FT
Lens vs Monaco
Lens have not won this competition since their one and only triumph in 1998/99, though they have a great opportunity to progress to the final eight for the 14th time in their history. The signs are positive, as Lens progressed from each of their last five round of 16 appearances.
Four of Lens’ last five Coupe de France games saw both teams score and over 2.5 total goals within 90 minutes, so if they are at the races as they usually are at home, this could be a thrilling night for fans of Lens.
TIP: Both Teams To Score at FT
Standard Liege vs Mechelen
When these two teams meet there tends to be plenty of goals. Three or more goals have been scored in each of the last ten meetings between these two teams, with both teams scoring in eight of those matches. At least three goals have been scored in each of the last six meetings at this venue. More of the same is expected on Sunday.
TIP: Over 2.5 goals at FT
Bergerac Perigord vs St Etienne
While both sides are in seemingly opposite form in their own league spheres, Saint Etienne’s experience of this competition and their sheer quality in comparison to Bergerac should see them through to win in 90 minutes.
The odds on price on an Etienne win may look short, but given the circumstances, this looks like unbelievable value. As such, we predict a comfortable victory for Les Verts.
TIP: St Etienne to win at FT
