Four Premier League clubs are interested in acquiring the services of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.
While Manchester United remains the frontrunner for the player’s signature, a report from Football Transfers claims that Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in the player.
The 22-year-old striker enjoyed a hugely successful campaign last time out, and after netting 34 goals in 41 appearances, in all competitions and thinks that it is the right time to take his game to the next level.
His stellar performances for his team have seen him get praised by his opponents with Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk naming him as one of his toughest opponents.

“The name of Haaland, and also Darwin, he’s a bit similar, very direct, quick, tall, strong, and it’s quite difficult to play against those guys,” Van Dijk said while speaking during an interview with Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport’s YouTube channel.
United are looking for a striker to replace the departing Edinson Cavani with the future of Anthony Martial not yet decided and Marcus Rashford having been cold in the last season.
