Brazilian midfielder Andre Trindade has stated that he had an offer from Nottingham Forest.
The 21-year-old has broken into the Fluminense first team over the past couple of seasons.
Trindade, who could make his international debut against Morocco at the weekend, could have moved to the Premier League over the past few months.
“The team that Danilo joined (wanted me). Fulham also probed,” he told 3na Area.
“But I already had an agreement with the president, largely because of Diniz (Fluminense manager) who also wanted to keep the squad for this season.
“I was living a moment when my wife was in the final stages of her pregnancy and I chose to stay here for this great reason.”
