Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano insists Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic cannot be a distraction tonight.
Vlahovic returns to Florence for the first-leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal for the first time since his January move.
“We must face Juventus regardless of their line-up. I hoped I could prepare this game with another spirit, and I refer to the defeat against Sassuolo, which, however, is giving us even more motivation,” Italiano said at a press conference.
“Everybody wants to reach the final, we must pay attention at all times.”
He continued: “I don’t know what to tell the fans. I’ve experienced something similar [against La Spezia]. I am not thinking about it, I’m not bothered,” he said.
“I am worried because Juventus have strong strikers, they are unbeaten in the last 13 games and have a solid defence.
“That’s what I am concerned about, not fans’ reactions. I hope fans will support us, because it’s so nice when the atmosphere heats up.
“Fans can help us, there is a great rivalry but it’s also an important match because it’s a semi-final. We’ll give our best for our fans, we’ll face a top team.”
