Bruno Fernandes can see Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo making the 2024 Euros.
The 37 year-old Portugal captain has stated he plans to play in that tournament.
Fernandes said: “I think that anyone who believed that Cris didn’t want to be at that European Championship doesn’t know him.
“The Portuguese know his resistance, the work he does, his dedication and the ambition he has. It’s nothing new for us.
“Cris wants to achieve things that others haven’t. He will continue to have the same importance, he is the best player in the world and he will continue to overcome barriers.”
