Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung reports that the transfer of Felix Nmecha from Wolfsburg to Borussia Dortmund is imminent after Edin Terzic spoke to the 22-year-old.
Nmecha is likely to cost close to €30m due to interest from both Manchester United and Newcastle United. The reported €15m is seen as wishful thinking for Dortmund. The deal is likely only to fail if Dortmund do not want to pay the reported fee for Nmecha
During the telephone conversation, Terzic reiterated his desire to see Nmecha play for Dortmund and how he may fit the team. It is likely that Nmecha will be the replacement for Jude Bellingham who departed for Real Madrid earlier in the month. The transfer is expected to be completed before July 5th, when Dortmund begins their pre-season training.
Sporting director Sebastian Kehl has also spoken to Nmecha. However, this has been due to his activity on social media where he has shared homophobic and transphobic content.
This has previously prompted Dortmund fans to express their disapproval of the signing. It is also reported that a sponsor of Dortmund even got involved to try and refrain Dortmund from signing the 22-year-old.
