The father of Palmeiras whizkid Endrick admits Spain is likely to be his son’s first move to Europe.
The 15-year-old Palmeiras forward was at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening for the first leg of Real Madrid’s Champions League Round of 16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain.
And on Saturday night he was at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu with his parents to watch Real Madrid secure a 3-0 victory over Alaves.
Endrick’s father uploaded a series of videos from the stands, and in a couple of these recordings he wrote a message in large writing: “Hala Madrid!”
The star of the Copinha has attracted the interest of the leading clubs in Europe, and Palmeiras are preparing for his departure in the near future.
As for Real Madrid, whilst the club are not viewing it as a priority to sign him immediately, they are waiting for their moment to secure the deal.
“I have to use the advice that Dani Alves gave me”
Endrick stated in an interview with TNT that he is looking to remain at Palmeiras for the time being.
“I have to focus on being at Palmeiras, where I want to become an idol,” he said.
“I am going to remain at Palmeiras for some time; I believe that I can make the fans very happy.”
He went on to praise Kylian Mbappe for his performance in the victory over Real Madrid.
“[Mbappe] played very well, he decided the game right at the end, he won a penalty, he finished very well,” he said.
“He is a young player, he is decisive, he never gives up.
“I have a lot to learn from him and I believe that I can follow his steps as well.”
Endrick went on to highlight that he is using the advice given to him by Dani Alves.
“I have to use the advice that [Dani Alves] gave me,” he said.
“He is an incredible guy.”
