Former Bordeaux assistant coach Antonio Manicone has no doubts about the quality of Yacine Adli.
Aldi spent last season on-loan at Bordeaux from AC Milan.
Manicone told Milan News: “Regardless of the team’s result he has maintained a positive performance. When we left he probably played a little less but he was one of the most proactive players in the team. If he maintains that kind of standard he has everything to try to be the fulcrum of the midfield.
“This will have to be said and judged by Stefano Pioli. We, from the outside, don’t have the perception of what he represents from inside the Milan reality in its various dynamics. Certainly the boy has worked a lot on his personality and I believe he’ll be able to make a name for himself.
“In recent years he has maintained a good level of performance. He has the spirit you need to start an adventure of this kind and above all the desire to impress.
“Milan will have to be good at putting him in a position to explode, giving him confidence and waiting for him with a bit of patience if he needs it. It has already happened with other players. The boy’s potential is great, if he adapts he can do well.”
