Nottingham Forest have signed defender Jonathan Panzo on a permanent transfer from Dijon FCO for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old becomes The Reds’ fifth signing of the January transfer window, signing a deal at The City Ground until 2025.
Panzo previously played under Forest Head Coach Steve Cooper, winning the FIFA Under-17 World Cup with England in 2017.
Panzo was also named in the Team of the Tournament as England finished runners-up in the U17 European Championships under Cooper the same year.
Born in London, the defender spent nine years in the youth system at Chelsea before moving to Monaco in July 2018.
Following a loan spell with Belgian club Cercle Brugge in 2019-20, he joined Dijon on a permanent deal in the summer of 2020 and has since made 26 appearances for the club.
Panzo will wear the number 24 shirt for The Reds.
Nottingham Forest Head Coach Steve Cooper added: “Jonathan is an exciting young player who can play a couple of defensive roles.
“Having excelled as a young player at Chelsea and England, he has good pedigree and we look forward to working with him.”
