Diego Carlos is excited about his move to Aston Villa.
The centre-back, 29, has penned a four-year contract at Villa Park after completing a medical and agreeing personal terms on his switch from Sevilla for an undisclosed fee.
Carlos arrives at Villa after three years with the Spanish club in which he made 136 appearances, won the Europa League in 2020 and experienced playing in the Champions League and a Super Cup final.
And now he can’t wait to get started at Villa.
“I am very happy,” he told VillaTV.
“I’m very happy, not only me, but my family and my kids.
“It’s something we were really waiting for and we really wanted to do this negotiation. Now that we’re here, we are really happy.”
He added: “We are really looking forward to it.
“I’m a person who always looks for, and wants to achieve something more.
“Since I spoke to the club and my agent, we knew the objectives of the club
“We know where we want to get to and that’s something that made me excited to come here.”
