Chelsea could be set for a boost in their push to sign Benfica wonderkid Diego Moreira.
The 18-year-old has been linked with the Stamford Bridge club in recent months.
Per The Mirror, Chelsea are very eager to secure Moreira, as part of their drive to build a young squad that can grow together.
Moreira, who does not want to renew his contract with Benfica as his present deal expires in the summer of 2024, shares an agent link to Chelsea.
He is managed by Jorge Mendes, a super agent who has a very good relationship with Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.
The two met over the summer to talk about many topics, including his famous client Cristiano Ronaldo, per The Athletic.
