Charles de Ketelaere is proud to have signed for AC Milan.
The €35m signing from Club Brugge was presented to the local media this morning.
De Ketelaere said: “The fans have great passion, I really like this aspect: it is for them that we play football. In training I have already felt intensity, I am very ready to follow these rhythms to which I am already used; I will just have to get used to a higher level.
“The last few weeks have been very intense and difficult … You know how it went. I expressed my great desire to my agents to come here to Milan. For me it was difficult, I had to give something but the important thing was to arrive to Milan.
“The attention to Milan’s youth played a role in my decision, you see the many talents who are growing here. I also hope to follow the same path.”
He added: “Speaking of Kakà: he was a fantastic player, I saw many videos of him. I have my characteristics, I hope to bring the successes he has brought to Milan.”
On signing for Milan director Paolo Maldini, he added: “For me it was a great honour, I felt proud when he called me. Now he is decisive in Milan also as a manager. However, not so much the person: the idea of the project prevailed, it really attracted me.”
