Former AS Roma star Antonio Cassano has launched a new attack on Jose Mourinho.
Cassano has long been critical of Mourinho.
“I don’t pull the wool over people’s eyes, I say my thoughts and no one takes it out of my mind. They criticised me for two years over the coach and what I said. The worst coach of the last 10 years was him. He made Roma play in an unworthy, disgusting manner,” said Cassano on Bobo TV.
“Roma’s people sell their souls for the team and I know it very well. He has won sympathy by giving people lots of smoke, but if you sow wind, you always reap storm. I don’t care about the results he has achieved. There are two years that we’ve had it, the club has spent a lot, not as others say, and also this year it has taken some players. But can I see three passes against Salernitana instead of making a fool of myself?”.
Cassano then took things further: “In Verona I saw unworthy football, with brawls, messes and cinematic football. With Milan, ten of them made half a shot with a deflection. Can I see such disgust? The people who go to the stadium doesn’t deserve this.
“At the time it was fine on Mourinho’s bandwagon, but now that they’re starting to smell something burning, I think they have little life there. Nobody wanted (Romelu) Lukaku and then he went to Roma. (Leandro) Paredes, (Evan) Ndicka, (Houssem) Aouar they are all strong players. But with Mourinho no team plays decently. Football must entertain people, something that has never been seen in Mourinho’s career.”
