Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he has plans to retire after his stint at Los Blancos.
Real Madrid recently won the Super Cup by beating Eintracht Frankfurt and it came a couple of months after they won the Champions League by beating Liverpool in the final and won the La Liga last season.
Having managed a host of clubs in Italy and Europe, Ancelotti has had a long and storied career and he spoke to Il Messaggero about his future.
When asked about what next after Real Madrid, the Italian stated: “This stint at Real Madrid will end my career. After Los Blancos, I’ll stop.”
The veteran was also asked about his opinion regarding who will win the Scudetto this season after Milan’s heroics in the previous campaign.
“The usual three are in pole position, perhaps with different balances. Milan has taken an interesting talent such as De Ketelaere and continues on the line drawn by Maldini along the young players: Tonali and Leao were great. Inter have a powerful engine and Lukaku is back. Juventus are still working on the transfer market, but Di Maria’s arrival is already an intelligent operation: an intact champion, of quality and experience.”
Ancelotti also stated that fans need to watch out for Roma because of the business they have done this summer:
“Keep an eye on Roma. is heavily reinforced. Dybala, Wijnaldum and Matic are important hits. Spinazzola and Zaniolo have come out of the shadow of injuries.”
Serie A kicks off later today, with Milan taking on Udinese and Atalanta taking on Sampdoria.
