Brentford striker Ivan Toney admitted frustration after their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.
Toney’s opener for the Bees was canceled out by Douglas Luiz three minutes from time.
“There are positives to take from the game today,” the Bees top scorer said, “but it’s two points dropped.
“Villa are where they are for a reason; they’re relentless and got a point in the end.
“If you don’t take your chances, you get punished. It’s clear to see that we’ve got to take our chances. They got a goal that put us on the back foot, after we’d been on the front foot. They’ll be happy with a draw, whereas it’s two points dropped for us.”
Toney praised fellow frontman Bryan Mbeumo, who assisted his 65th-minute goal.
“I know what Bryan’s capable of,” he continued. “I had a pop at him for not crossing it during the first half like he did in the second, and he took that on board and look what happened. We’ll learn from that.
“If he can keep crossing them in, I’ll keep getting on the end of them.
“We’ve played with each other long enough now to know each other’s game. We have a good relationship, on and off the pitch, and we know what the other is capable of doing.
“On a personal note, 19 goals in the league is good. I wouldn’t have thought I’d get close to that number. I want to get past 20. Who knows how many I can get?”
