Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbuemo says their friendly defeat to Stuttgart was a good hit out.
Mbuemo scored in the 2-1 loss.
He told the club’s website, “I’m confident and I just tried to help the team to a win today, as always. Yes, I’m very happy and I want to keep going and keep working.
“It was a tough game, Stuttgart were well prepared – they went with a strong team. We did a lot of good things, there were things to work on. We did well in the end.”
The game was played under blazing sunshine in extreme heat, which is something Bryan thinks had an impact on the match. He was also pleased to have some fresh faces around him in the team, including people missing through loan spells or injury last season.
“The weather does have an impact of course, it’s very hot. It was a very tough game and we all feel tired now. It’s been a good week, we have worked hard and this was just another test of that.
“It is really good to have some new faces because you develop new relationships and see the guys who have been away. We all have a good time but also on the pitch you get players like Josh [Dasilva] who is someone you can combine with and he understands each game of football very well.”
