Bookies William Hill has suspended bets being placed on Erik ten Hag becoming Manchester United’s next manager.
The Dutchman is understood to be closing in on agreeing to take over at Old Trafford ahead of next season.
A William Hill spokesperson said: “Erik ten Hag’s appointment as the new Manchester United manager looks a seemingly foregone conclusion and an announcement is apparently close.
“He had been backed into the 1/25 favourite, but with the switch from Ajax now looking a done deal, we’ve made the decision to suspend betting on the next United manager market.”
