Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has no doubts about Eden Hazard’s determination to prove himself at Real Madrid.
Martinez is counting on Hazard for the World Cup.
He told Cadena SER: “This World Cup is going to be very different. The players arrive fresh, with the perfect motivation and mentality. They only compete for 14 weeks. Playing more or less won’t matter as much.
“I’m more concerned about the youngsters if they make a change and don’t adapt.
“With Eden Hazard it’s a different situation. He’s in the best moment of his career. I was surprised by the mental and physical state he was in in June. The Real Madrid fan is going to see a totally different Hazard. He has no pain nor problems with his past injury.
“In Poland he showed physical records that he had not had since the match against Brazil in 2018. He is obsessed with being successful at Real Madrid. He has not contemplated changing the goal: he wants to win the World Cup. When you have a player able to make a difference, whatever happens is going to be positive.”
