Bayern Munich want €35 million from Inter for Benjamin Pavard

Bayern Munich currently want a fee of €35 million from Inter for Benjamin Pavard, despite reports in Germany stating that the defender will not be sold this summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state today that Inter consider Pavard’s arrival vital at the club this summer and the defender too prefers Inter over Manchester United and he wants to depart the club this summer. As things stand, Thomas Tuchel is strictly against the idea of letting the 27-year-old leave and he made it clear to the club’s higher-ups after the win over Werder Bremen. Inter were never privately made aware of the news that emerged in Germany that Pavard will stay at Bayern and it also caught the player’s agents by surprise, since talks have taken place very recently.

Pavard’s choice remains that he wants to join Inter and despite Tuchel’s wishes, talks took place between the two clubs yesterday. The calls were long and continuous yesterday between the phone two clubs that have excellent relations, but they are still some way apart in valuations.

Inter have raised their offer to about €30 million including bonuses, but Bayern insist on wanting €35 million. That gap can be closed down considering the good relations between the two clubs. Inter consider Bayern’s valuation to be too high and talks can take place once again today to thrash out an agreement.
