The Bundesliga fixtures continue on Sunday as Bayern Munich welcome Stuttgart to the Allianz Arena for a mouthwatering clash.
The Bavarians’ title hopes suffered a blow after the demoralising 5-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt, but their impressive victory over Manchester United in midweek will likely have restored some confidence.
Match Preview
Bayern were yet to lose a game in the German top-flight when they travelled to Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend. But the defending champions were stunned by the breathtaking display of their opponents at the Deutsche Bank Park.
Omar Marmoush, Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe, Hugo Larsson and Ansgar Knauff were all on target as the hosts condemned their rivals to a disappointing 5-1 defeat.
However, Thomas Tuchel’s men showed a good response in their midweek Champions League fixture against Manchester United.
They dominated the Old Trafford game and ultimately came away with a 1-0 success, thanks to a late goal from Kingsley Coman.
On the other hand, Stuttgart have enjoyed an excellent 2023-24 league campaign and are currently one of the top contenders for a top-four finish.
They are sitting third in the Bundesliga table after registering 10 wins from 14 matches.
The Reds will enter Sunday’s away encounter on the back of a 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen last week.
The visitors looked to be in the ascendancy after Chris Fuhrich scored five minutes before the break. But Florian Wirtz equalised to ensure the spoils of the game were shared.

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has several injury woes this weekend. Noussair Mazraoui picked up a knock against United and so he will be missing on Sunday. Meanwhile, Matthijs de Ligt, Bouna Sarr and Serge Gnabry will also be out of action due to fitness issues.
As for Stuttgart, Hiroki Ito is suffering from a muscular issue and will not be available this weekend. The Reds’ other absentees for the upcoming clash include Lilian Egloff, Luca Raimund and Nikolas Nartey.

Stuttgart are quite capable of pulling off a surprise result at the Allianz Arena. They held Leverkusen to a 1-1 draw and will be hoping for another encouraging result at Bayern.
