Laliga giants FC Barcelona are set to table a third bid for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski in the next 48 hours.
The Polish striker has been unequivocal about his wish to leave the German champions after eight seasons at the Allianz Arena and in May said “I don’t want to play there anymore. A transfer is the best solution. I hope they don’t stop me”.
Reports from Sport1 indicate that Barcelona has already had two offers, worth €32m plus €5m in bonuses and €35m plus €5m in bonuses, rejected but they are not giving up yet on their target as they prepare to make another bid this week worth an initial €40m, is now in the offing.

Lewandowski has confirmed his intention to wait again for Barça, also thanks to the relationships between his agent and Laporta.

The reports further state that the improved bid is a result of the club’s confidence in selling midfielder Frankie de Jong to Manchester United in the same hours.
Lewandowski scored 50 goals in 46 appearances last season and Bayern, who have already signed Sadio Mané from Liverpool this summer, have insisted they want to keep the Pole.
