Sevilla president Jose Castro admits they must sell this summer.
With defender Jules Kounde interesting Chelsea and Barcelona, Castro concedes a big sale must be made.
He said, “Nobody is unaware that in recent summers we have not sold. To support the chips of this team you need to do some sales.
“In the last markets we did not do it, and we not only did not sell but bought again (Tecatito and Anthony Martial). When there are exits there will also be entries of new values that give us sporting and economic performance.
“We always have a better squad, why not The next one will be the same. In the end we will have a homogeneous squad, with the capacity to continue growing. It is what we are looking for.”
Castro also confirmed coach Julen Lopetegui for next season.
He said, “Three quarters of the season has been excellent. It has been an atypical and strange campaign with injuries, this last part of the season we have not played well. But the results do not fool anyone: the team has three consecutive years in the Champions League with this same coach.
“The coach is happy, not because of the last games, but let’s not stop there, but rather in trying to finish third and from there, work and self-criticism for next year to do better if it fits.”
