Barcelona captain Sergi Busquets has hit out at the lack of communication from the club.
Currently away with Spain on international duty, the Busquets was disappointed to learn about the possibility of salary cuts from the press.
“I’ve heard a lot of things being said and when I come back from holiday I don’t know what they will tell me,” he said at a press conference.
“I would like them to tell me and not find out from somewhere else, but I’m always willing to help. They haven’t proposed anything to us, they haven’t told us anything beyond what we hear from you [the press].
“It’s not the best decision to do it through the press, it’s always better to be direct and face to face.”
Regarding Spain, Busquets feels his side still need a bit of fine tuning.
“We’ve been a very good team, solid and compact, perhaps we lacked the success to win a match that we deserved,” he said.
“It’s going to depend on when we get to the World Cup, when we see the other teams… in the end we have to focus on what’s coming and in my case take advantage of the experience that these tournaments have given me.”
