Aston Villa are closing on Marseille free agent Boubacar Kamara.
Villa chief Steve Gerrard is still looking for extra cover in midfield, says The Sun.
And the highly-fancied Frenchman is the next big name in his sights. Kamara, 22, has been linked with several Premier League clubs. Manchester United have reportedly been keen on the France Under-21 ace.
And big-spending Newcastle have also been rumoured to be watching him. Some clubs have backed off over his wage demands. But Villa are interested in sealing the deal.
The club will look to move out some of their squad to make space both in the dressing room but also on the payroll.
Kamara has come through the youth ranks at Marseille and made his senior debut in December 2016.
