Aston Villa boss Unai Emery admits he wants to strengthen team spirit.
Emery wants to create a ‘small family’ at Aston Villa, where his players can help one another to recover from setbacks following the FA Cup defeat to Stevenage last week.
Asked how he will help his players recover from the surprise loss against Stevenage, Emery said: “Take confidence every day, take confidence when we are on a good move. I want everybody to try here to build a team and we are going to be a small family.
“We have to be together and be together in the bad moments, be together in the crazy moments and we have to be together, positive and help each other when we are working every day.
“We need to try and build a small family between us and try to be good friends, good partners, good teammates and the response is going to be on the pitch.
“We have to connect with out supporters as well, we have to connect with our fans at home, away and trying to create a lot of positive energy between us.”
Emery’s message to supporters is a simple one.
“To be together and be with us, connect with us,” he added. “We are going to connect at the beginning with them, trying to show our good spirit of playing, playing with good energy, a tactical plan and tomorrow we will them to support us and be with us.”
