Arsenal have received a blow in their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic.
The Gunners are desperate to sign the Serbian goalscorer this month as they look to bolster their attacking stocks.
Football.londonreports Arsenal technical director Edu is doing ‘everything possible’ to bring the 21-year-old to north London.
However, the Serbia international would prefer to remain in Italy.
He has nominated Inter Milan and Juventus as his two top destinations.
It is now up to Edu and Mikel Arteta to convince Vlahovic that he should be choosing to join Arsenal.
Arteta’s team are genuine top-four contenders this season, and it is believed Vlahovic wants to join a club in the Champions League.
The Premier League outfit have no problems coughing up the £60m transfer fee needed to secure Vlahovic’s signature.
Tottenham have also shown an interest and Spurs director Fabio Paratici has a strong relationship with the player’s representatives.
With 23 goals in 29 appearances this season, Vlahovic is one of the most sought after strikers in Europe.
