Al-Ettifaq’s Sweden striker Robin Quaison admits he’s excited by the prospect of Steven Gerrard becoming his manager.
Liverpool legend and former Aston Villa boss Gerrard has been in Saudi Arabia this week for talks with Al-Ettifaq.
“It is fun. If that’s true, it would be an honour to work with such a legend in football,” Quaison told Fotbollskanalen.
Quaison admits Al-Ettifaq could find it tough next season with the likes of Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad splashing out big in the European transfer market.
He added: “I don’t know, it’s hard to say, we’ll see. It depends on who they pick up, but then they should be able to work together. PSG has brought in many players for many years, but they have not succeeded in Europe as they would like.”
