Ajax coach Erik ten Hag admits meeting with Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ten Hag is being linked with the manager’s job at Old Trafford.
He has so far batted back any questions over his future, although he has made suggestions that he could be open to a move in the summer.
Speaking during an interview for Ajax’s YouTube channel in 2020, Ten Hag revealed how he met Ferguson on a previous visit to Carrington. While meeting the legendary manager, he got the chance to speak to him and see how he operated at United.
“Steve and I visited Sir Alex Ferguson when we played Manchester City, the morning before the match we had coffee with him – it was a memorable conversation about football,” Ten Hag said.
“When we visited, Sir Alex Ferguson was sitting in his office, he was the manager and he had an overview of the pitches at Carrington and he could follow the training sessions from his office, it was an experience.”
