Former Inter Milan defender Lele Adani felt Rafael Leao made the difference for AC Milan last night.
Milan won the first-leg of their Champions League quarterfinal against Napoli 1-0 thanks to Ismael Bennacer’s goal.
Adani told Bobo TV: “I think instead the confirmation of tonight’s match is on what at least personally I supported in the Serie A match. That is, that Napoli did not come out weakened, but Milan instead strengthened.
“Napoli doess Napoli, not even the time for the chance that Krunic saved on the goal line. To be exact there were 4 shots in 3 minutes. Kvaratskhelia, Mario Rui, Anguissa and Di Lorenzo on the corner. In 3 minutes and 40 seconds. Then in the eleventh we got to 6 shots: Kvaratskhelia with a right and then Zielinski. After a minute another shot, so there were 7 shots in 12 minutes.
“Milan suffered Napoli for half the first half, it didn’t exist. But then there was a UFO that with that wrong stop in mid-field left Rrahmani in place and crossed the field at a speed that is difficult to find on a football field except in Vinicius Jr.
“Let’s talk about Leao, he made an incredible play and then he shot without finding the target. But that’s a scary play. Like it or not, that play scares and changes the scenarios. So much so that Napoli then dribbled, but Milan were dangerous, they finished the first half brilliantly.”
