Adams determined to repay Bournemouth backing

Bournemouth and United States star Tyler Adams is on a mission to make up for lost time.

The central midfielder is determined to ensure his signing is a successful one for the Premier League club.

Adams, who left Leeds after their relegation last season, stated that he is confident he will repay the Cherries’ faith in securing him even though he was still not fully fit.

“It was a good feeling. Just to step on the grass again in a competitive match felt really, really nice,” Adams told BBC Radio Solent.

“I’m excited to be here with my new team, a new environment, new people and the support from the fans was amazing as well.

“I would say that I was probably progressing a little bit ahead of schedule.

“I probably am the worst patient that the medical staff has ever seen!

“I’m pushing them every day just to do whatever I can to get out there on the pitch.

“I’m still working through all the nicks and niggles that you go through in a rehab session. If you push yourself too hard, you’ve got to take two steps back then to take another step forward.

“So I’ve been very patient, they’ve been very patient with me as well, but it’s exciting for all for all of us when it comes together and I’m able to play in a match.”
