AC Milan hero Demetrio Albertini is delighted seeing his former club on the brink of winning the Scudetto.
Milan go into the final game of the season leading the table by two points.
Albertini told It’s Padel Time: “I will live the last ninety minutes with serenity because thinking of not winning the Scudetto would be a shame. Milan have everything in their hands with two out of three results.
“There are all the ingredients to start Sassuolo’s game with confidence.
“Match for the turning point? The return derby, the summary of the season. Inter had everything in their hands, but Milan believed in it, bringing home the result in the final. A scenario that generated doubts in Inter, increasing the Rossoneri’s self-esteem.
“Football is the most unpredictable sport there is as it is less repetitive.
“(Paolo) Maldini and (Stefano) Pioli? I’ve always said it, judging the work of a manager or a coach, beyond the result, is the most difficult thing. I praised Paolo’s growth in management because experience cannot be bought, he has put all his qualities at the disposal of the club he loves.
“Pioli, on the other hand, does the hardest job because managing 25-30 players is never easy. He valued individuals despite the controversy during the pandemic. The reconfirmation was played and I am happy that things went well.
“Being at Milan is not a point of arrival, but of departure and this, both Maldini and Pioli, have transmitted it to the players.”
