AC Milan great Roberto Donadoni says he can’t split the Rossonero and Napoli ahead of their Champions League quarterfinal.
Milan are in Naples to defend a 1-0 first-leg lead.
Donadoni told TMW: “It’s an open game, it’s clear that Napoli have shown that they are a better team from the point of view of play. Milan live more on flashes, individual players, improvised to pull out the victory.
“The second leg will still be very open.
“The result is open for both, it’s true that Milan won the first leg but it’s not impossible for Napoli to score. If Milan had gone up 2-0 it would have meant forcing Napoli to overturn a different result, to expose themselves more and therefore give the opponent a little more, giving them more opportunities in the counterattack.
“In any case, Napoli just have to win and this makes the situation interesting and beautiful for those who watch.”
With Victor Osimhen back for Napoli, Donadoni added: “A player like this would be important for many teams. It’s a possibility to develop the game, he gives more alternatives both on the ground by attacking space, and in the air by making use of crosses.
“He’s the player who from the point of view the individual can create the most opportunity. It is essential that Napoli have him at their disposal.”
