Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira was stretchered off during their game against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Brazilian was taken off the field with the assistance of medical personnel due to a broken leg.
The 27-year-old, who was enjoying a successful first season after permanently leaving Manchester United, now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Tom Cairney came on for Pereira in the 58th minute of the game, which Fulham lost 2-1.
The Cottagers had briefly threatened to halt City’s title run, equalizing after Erling Haaland gave City the lead.
However, a Julian Alvarez strike eventually won the game for City.
