Napoli’s Victor Osimhen will miss the first leg of the Champions League quarter final against Milan scheduled for tomorrow evening.
The Nigerian has left the training center in Castel Volturno minutes before the team took the flight to Milan.
Osimhen suffered a minor niggle to his abductor muscle as the club reported on March 31st and he trained individually since then. It’s still uncertain if he’ll make the squad for the second leg scheduled on April 18th.
Napoli will miss Giovanni Simeone too as the Argentinian suffered a first-degree strain in his right hamstring last Friday against Lecce. He’ll be missing both games against Milan.
Giacomo Raspadori is the only striker available for coach Luciano Spalletti but he’s not 100% fit. He played few minutes in the last two Napoli’s league games against Milan and Lecce coming back from a muscular injury that sidelined him for over a month.
Yesterday he did not train with squad while today he warmed up following a personalized program before joining the rest of the team.
He’s supposed to start the game tomorrow at San Siro but as reported by Sky Sport, over the last days Luciano Spalletti tried Eljif Elmas in a striker’s position.
