Kylian Mbappe’s little brother, Ethan Mbappe, has made his debut for Paris Saint-Germain first-team vs Paris FC in a mid-season friendly.
The youngster came on at half-time for Fabian Ruiz with PSG already leading their inter-city rivals by one goal at the break.
Still just 15, Mbappe was one of several changes made by coach, Christophe Galtier, as he bid to both blood in young talent and increase sharpness levels ahead of the return of club football.
But the widespread changes did little to impact the scoreline, with Galtier’s men running out 2-1 winners on the day thanks to goals from Nordi Mukiele and Ismael Gharbi.
Following his professional debut, Mbappe shared his feelings on Instagram.
“Very excited for my debut in the pros,” was the accompanying caption to two pictures of Mbappe in action for the French champions.
How did Mbappe play vs Paris FC?
Mbappe impressed in his debut for the club. Given he is still technically an under-16 player, the fact he is already mixing it with pros is quite something and testament to the natural talent he and his brother clearly share.
Playing in a central midfield role, highlights shared to YouTube by CompsPSG show the the youngster performing his duties well.
It’s no surprise that Mbappe signed a new three-year deal with PSG in 2021 given he’s already interesting the first-team as a mere 15-year-old.
He has clearly thrived in the academy set-up since joining in 2017, the same year his older brother made his record-breaking switch from Monaco, and even debuted for France’s Under-16 side recently too.
Meanwhile, his brother is tearing it up for the nation’s senior side on football’s greatest stage and will go head-to-head with Argentina in a mouthwatering clash on Sunday evening.
The winner of the match will not only dictate who is crowned champion of the world, but it will also likely decide who will win the Golden Ball award, and potentially even the Golden Boot, between Mbappe and Lionel Messi.
Heading into the 2022 World Cup final, the superstars have been the standout players of the tournament and both sit on five goals-a-piece after playing talismanic roles for their respective countries.
Just your everyday weekend for the Mbappe family then… one son in the World Cup final, the other making his professional debut for PSG as a 15-year-old.
