With the announcement of the World Cup squads, Bayern Munich have the most players at the World Cup with 17, while Manchester City sit joint second with Barcelona on 16 players. Borussia Dortmund are the second highest German team and see 11 of their players travel to Qatar for the World Cup.
Most of Bayern Munich’s players play for Germany with Jamal Musiala, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Leroy Sané, Manuel Neuer, Serge Gnabry and Thomas Müller all in the squad. France is the second nation represented with Benjamin Pavard, Dayot Upamecano, Kingsley Coman and Lucas Hernandez called up. Then Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (Cameroon), Alphonso Davies (Canada), Josip Stanisic (Croatia), Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco), Matthijs de Ligt (Netherlands) and Sadio Mané (Senegal) making up the rest.
Dortmund also see Germany most represented with Julian Brandt, Niklas Süle, Karim Adeyemi and Nico Schlotterbeck travel to Qatar. Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard (Belgium) are the next most represented group. Jude Bellingham (England), Raphaël Guerriero (Portugal), Gregor Kobel (Switzerland) and Giovanni Reyna (USA) are the other Dortmund players called up.
Other Bundesliga players called up see Daichi Kamada (Japan) and Jesper Lindstrøm (Denmark) called up from Eintracht Frankfurt while Yann Sommer (Switzerland) and Marcus Thuram (France) from Borussia Mönchengladbach are just some examples of the players from the Bundesliga competing in the World Cup.
