New Celta Vigo coach Carlos Carvalhal drew positives from defeat to Osasuna.
It marked Carvalhal’s first game in charge since succeeding Edouard Coudet.
He later said, “For the work of my players, for their quality, for never having lost their minds, for always playing with the ball at their feet and for having had at least as many opportunities as the opponent, the result is an injustice.
“It was a very thankless game because the first two times that Osasuna reached our goal they scored two goals. We deserved more. As a first impression of the team, after three days here, we did a lot of positive things during the game. We have to focus on the positive things and comment on the mistakes to be better in the next game.
“The attitude, the work, the quality of the team to play and look for the goal with patience against a team that is not easy at all. Osasuna defends very well, with a lot of quality. We never lost our heads and circulated the ball, having opportunities.
“Unfortunately, their goalkeeper was very good twice in the second half. There are many positive things and some others negative. The team has suffered many goals against since the start of the season and we have to work hard to improve the team in all aspects.”
