Nicolò Fagioli scored the crucial goal against Lecce, leading Juventus to a narrow 1-0 victory on Saturday night.
With the right-footed curler from the young Italian making the headlines, Nicolò Fagioli’s agent Andrea D’Amico got the opportunity to advocate Fagioli’s regular selection in the team, suggesting that it is difficult not to play the 21-year midfielder.
In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, D’Amico said,
“It was a very emotional moment for him and for the people around him. But this is only the beginning, we hope that he can continue to show all his talent.”
He added:
“The Bianconeri have young people of great quality. When they play, they do very well. I hope Nicolò continues to be used. It takes more courage to leave him out than to put him in.”
Emerging through the ranks at Juventus after moving to their youth setup in 2015, Fagioli made his Serie A debut for the Bianconeri in 2021, coming on as a second-half substitute for Rodrigo Bentancur against Crotone. Fagioli was sent out on his first loan spell at Cremonese in the summer of 2021.
In Cremona, the Italy U21 had a fantastic spell, where he led his team to a Serie A promotion by the end of the 2021/22 season. Saturday’s game was the youngster’s fourth appearance for the Old Lady. Recent reports understand that the midfielder will not be loaned out by Juve in the upcoming January transfer window after his heroics against Lecce.
