Milan’s first-choice midfield target Renato Sanches is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain. Tottenham Hotspur’s Pape Sarr is considered a potential alternative to the Portuguese, once understood to be Milan’s replacement for Franck Kessié.
According to journalist Daniele Longo, Renato Sanches will join PSG in a deal that will ensure a net salary of around €6 million per season for the midfielder.
The report understands that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will now take one or two days to evaluate the alternatives. They want to mark the priorities out of the list that includes dozen of potential targets at the moment.
The report claims that Spurs’ Pape Sarr could be a suitable alternative to Sanches. Milan have been reportedly monitoring the central midfielder even before the Londoners signed him from Metz in the summer of 2021.
After signing for Spurs, he was sent back on loan to Metz to continue his development in France last season.
Earlier this summer, there were contacts between Massara and Fabio Paratici over a potential deal for the 19-year-old midfield sensation. But they have not understandably found the formula to complete a transfer.
