Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspurs are going head to head for the services of Manchester City defender Nathan Ake.
Ake has been a consistent figure with the Dutch national team but his position is in danger ahead of the 2022 World Cup owing to his lack of game time at City.
The Telegraph says Ake is open to leaving City for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window with the Blues optimistic about securing his services as they look to replace Antonio Rudiger who has already left for Real Madrid.
Not just new bid for Sterling. Chelsea will be in contact again with Juventus this week for Matthijs de Ligt, but price tag remains high. Nathan Aké, always high on Tuchel’s list. 🔵 #CFC
Sevilla would accept €65m for Koundé now – but it will also depend on Barcelona interest.

The defender himself is ‘open to the prospect of a return to Stamford Bridge’, according to the report, which has added that Chelsea and Premier League champions City have held positive talks over a potential transfer of the 27-year-old.
But Spurs want to add the player to their roster too owing to the number of games they will be playing next season after qualifying for the Champions League where they will need quality all over the pitch if they are to balance the domestic and international games.
