Cristiano Ronaldo was offered to Bayern Munich

Sport1 report this evening that Cristiano Ronaldo was offered to Bayern Munich by his entourage.

It was reported in Spain on Thursday evening that the Manchester United attacker could be a successor to Robert Lewandowski, which has since been denied by German media.

However, Ronaldo was open to a move to the Bundesliga and had been offered to Bayern however, bosses discussed a potential deal and decided against a move.

Per the report, the Portugal international is dissatisfied with Manchester United’s transfer business so far this summer, was unhappy that MUFC were 35 points adrift from Manchester City last season and is disappointed to be playing Europa League football next season.

Although 37, Ronaldo wants to compete for more titles whilst a move to Germany would have interested the Portuguese forward, who returned to Manchester United last summer after 12 years.

One reason Bayern were against the move is that Ronaldo earns a reported €27m salary at Manchester United, significantly higher than Lewandowski’s €24m net salary.

In summary, Ronaldo will not be joining Bayern Munich this summer after the Bundesliga champions signed Sadio Mané from Liverpool.
