Laliga giants Real Madrid are close to signing young midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni from AS Monaco.
The Frenchman has been linked with a chunk of teams across Europe but it has been reported that he wants to move to the Spanish capital owing to the club’s tendency of winning accolades more so their prowess in the Champions League.
90min reports that Real Madrid had been locked in talks with Monaco regarding Tchouameni but the clubs had been some way off in their evaluation of the 22-year-old. The European champions had entered talks hoping to sign the player for £50m, but Monaco was keen to hold out for around £68m.

Latest reports indicate that there has been a breakthrough in negotiations, with Madrid now willing to raise their bid to snag the player ahead of Liverpool, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain who have all sown interest in the player.
Monaco will get over £70m for the youngster who is seen as a long-term replacement for Casemiro in the Madrid midfield.
