Arsenal and AC Milan are interested in signing Marco Asensio from Real Madrid according to the midfielder’s representatives.
Asensio’s contract with Madrid is set to expire in 14 months times with the Spaniard being heavily linked with a move to Emirates. According to reports, Madrid want their midfielder to remain at Santiago Bernabeu and has made a €5m per year salary offer – around £80,000-a-week – plus add-ons.
“We are proud of Milan’s interest,” said Asensio’s agents, as quoted by Sport Mediaset.
“The Rossoneri [Milan] are an option even if there are offers from a couple of English clubs, including Arsenal. We are ready to evaluate every option.”
The 25-cap international has played 34 games in all competitions this season but only 1,713 minutes in total – averaging around 50 minutes per match. Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has several attacking options at his disposal, including Vinicius Junior and Eden Hazard.
